We’re a “wee” bit inspired by the classic tartans we’ve seen of late. From the runways to the street girls (and guys) everywhere are discovering their clan and donning tartan. From classic schoolgirl looks (a la Red Valentino) to punk (a la Moschino), there’s a tartan for everyone and a style for everyone so get ready for a Fall (Highland) Fling.

Catching Up With Our Influencers

MUGSHOTGIF

It’s been a couple of months since we left Las Vegas, and we found ourselves missing some of our favourite influencers, so we put together a fun animated gif – capturing a snippet of the personalities they shared with us on the WWDMAGIC floor. We also thought we’d check in and see what they’d been up to!

Across the pond Jazmine of Jazzabelle’s Diary has been styling again – this time for the book to accompany the British TV show, Great British Sewing Bee! Great work. She also found the time to launch a new mother/daughter blog – so adorable!

Back over to Tokyo where Misha Janette of Tokyo Fashion Diaries is traveling the world again. Not long after she was with us in Vegas, she was off to Bangkok for Elle Fashion Week (where she modeled a number of WWDMAGIC brands). Most recently she launched an amazing project where she custom designed her very own Furla Candy Bag as part of the #candycool project! Check out her bag (and the rest of her blog) here.

A few weeks ago we headed out into the desert with some of our favorite influencers for everyone’s favorite festival – Coachella.

These bloggers weren’t just in the desert to soak up the sun, listen to bands and get very dusty – but had been sent there on a fabulous mission thanks to WWDMAGIC buyer LuLu*s. Decked out head to toe in LuLu*s goodies from all our favorite WWDMAGIC brands the girls took part in photoshoots and then soaked up the sun and listened to bands :)

These are some of our favorite looks from the shoot, which featured WWDMAGIC influencers, Stephanie Liu, Jenny Wu, Chanelle Laurence, Kiara Schwartz and Bethany Struble. For more on the shoot click through to the LuLu*s blog for more coverage from the project.

The sartorial word on the street (and the runway) this coming season suggests we should make like Dragées (sugar coated almonds) and put on a candy coat this fall.

Whilst pastels have been historically associated with all things Spring (Easter Eggs anyone?) we’re looking forward to adding a little spring in our step and into our Fall wardrobe with a gorgeous pastel coat.

Sweet.
